My experience of working in professional football for the past 13 years has given me essential skills required to support the position of Technical Head at Rangers FA Baroda. Alongside gaining coaching qualifications to a high level, I have continued to develop my educational knowledge annually by further qualifications. I have just completed an MBA qualification with the University of Sunderland which enables me to complete principal tasks of leading and managing within an organization. This has also further developed my BA in Post Compulsory Education which I achieved whilst lecturing in coaching at the College of West Anglia.
Working presently for League Football Education as a Regional Manager gives support to the qualifications that I have gained but also an excellent understanding of the key tasks required to the position of technical head.
Managing the apprenticeship programme for nine Football League clubs continues to provide an opportunity to develop and maintain relationships within football clubs and alongside this I have been tasked to manage the coaching delivery in an educational context.
The day to day involvement with professional football clubs further enhances this experience and provides further suitable skills and knowledge for managing within a high level programme. The company award of ‘outstanding’ in the previous Ofsted inspection underpins the time and effort put into the management of the programme alongside supporting the clubs within the EPPP structure.
Whilst qualified at UEFA A, I have also continued to coach at the professional level within the EPPP structure at Norwich City for the last 12 years. Working from Youth Team level to Foundation Phase age groups has given me great experience and knowledge of working in the different age group phases. Alongside this, I have continued to deliver Level 1, 2 and UEFA B courses for the FA regionally for the last 14 years that has allowed me to become a very experienced coach educator.
